Seton Harvest Shareholders
Welcome to my flower farm!
Beautiful locally-grown fresh flowers
Bouquets + Bunches + DIY Buckets
April through October
All when and where that is convenient for you!
Nestled on the eastern edge of Posey County, my farm offers a glimpse into the beautiful array of flowers Mother Nature has to offer all of us. Spring, summer and fall each offer unique opportunities for different flowers to flourish in our southern Indiana climate, providing me the opportunity to grow a wide variety of flowers, greenery and herbs.
For the 2018 CSA season, Seton Harvest has invited me to join them in offering you a bouquet subscription.
Enjoy fresh Flowers during the Seton Harvest CSA season
Say yes! Fresh from the Farm seasonal blooms are available through a variety of weekly and bi-weekly bouquet subscription offers and will be ready and waiting for you when you pick up your share.
And with your subscription purchase, I will donate 25% of the subscriptions price to Seton Harvest to further their mission of providing food to those in need within our community.
And for fall (or until my farm stops producing flowers), I will be offering a twice monthly bouquet for shareholders to purchase starting on Tuesday August 28th!
What is a Flower bouquet Subscription?
When you sign up for a flower subscription, you will receive a farmers’ market style bouquet of fresh flowers each week (or every other week) from my farm. It is similar to your vegetable CSA, but for flowers.
Your bouquet will will be full of seasonal bounty including flowers, herbs, vegetables and foliage I grow or forage from my land. The first week your bouquet is delivered to your designated pick up location with a vase that is car cup holder friendly. All following weeks your bouquet is delivered hand tied resting in a bucket of water with other bouquets, so please bring your vase with you at the time of pickup. A packet of flower food is provided weekly and I encourage you to use this to prolong the life of your flowers – they get hungry too!
Bouquet Subscription FAQs:
How Long Will The Bouquet Last?
Your bouquet will include a variety of seasonal blooms, each with its own natural life span, on average the bouquet will last 7-10 days with good care which includes utilizing the flower food that is provided with the bouquet, maintaining a clean vase and displaying the flowers in a cool location out of direct sun light.
Please see all the tips for caring for your bouquet of fresh flowers.
When Does the flower bouquet subscription program run?
Subscriptions for 2018 are closed as of the last week of July. It was a fantastic experience for me and I appreciate all the interest in and support of my Farm.
In the meantime, you can visit me on Saturday's at the Historic Newburgh Farmers Market and bouquets are available online to be picked up at the Farm or delivered to select locations in Evansville.
For 2019, I anticipate that we will begin subscriptions at the same time your CSA begins in mid May and they will be offered through Labor Day. You will be able to order a subscription anytime up to the last week of July, pending availability. Order deadline is Friday at 6:00 am for delivery the following week.

What if You do not pick up your bouquet?
I will be following Seton Harvest's policy, if you are unable to pick up your bouquet, it will be donated to the residents at an area retirement facility.
What if Darnell School Farm does not deliver my bouquet?
I take my commitment to you seriously; however, I grow everything in the field which may be impacted by weather, wildlife and other factors out of my control. Should a bouquet delivery be missed, I will add a week to your subscription or refund your payment for that week based on your preference.
